Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Yamagata Japan

Salary: 8 11million JPY (depending on Experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support the construction of an advanced OSD manufacturing plant. You will play a key role in ensuring the civil works meet design specifications regulatory compliance and project timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise civil and structural contractors on all phases of construction.
  • Ensure compliance with local civil engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review civil design site plans and contractor submittals.
  • Oversee quality assurance health and safety and site progress reporting.
  • Liaise with cross-functional project teams to resolve technical challenges.

Requirements:

  • 510 years of Civil Engineering experience (industrial/pharma facility experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Japanese building codes regulations and construction practices.
  • Local to Japan eligible to work without visa sponsorship.
  • Japanese fluency required; English proficiency preferred but not essential.
