Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Systems Analyst with deep experience in MAPICS/XA (Series 1) to support maintain and enhance our enterprise systems in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in aligning our business processes with technology solutions driving efficiencies across production supply chain inventory and finance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain the MAPICS/XA Series 1 ERP system including modules such as Manufacturing Inventory Management Purchasing Finance and Production Planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations engineering finance) to gather requirements analyze processes and deliver ERP solutions that improve efficiency and data integrity.
- Design and implement configuration changes customizations or interfaces within MAPICS/XA to meet evolving business needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues working with internal users and external vendors as needed.
- Develop reports queries and data extracts using tools such as SQL Query/400 or IBM i (AS/400) utilities.
- Assist with system upgrades patches and documentation for MAPICS/XA.
- Train end users on new functionalities and provide ongoing support for ERP-related workflows.
- Maintain data integrity security and compliance with internal IT standards and controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience supporting MAPICS/XA (Series 1) in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing business processes and how they map to ERP functionality (MRP BOM routing scheduling etc.).
- Experience working on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform.
- Familiarity with RPG CL Query/400 SQL or related reporting/programming tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in discrete manufacturing (injection molding assembly sheet metal etc.).
- Experience integrating MAPICS/XA with other business systems (MES CRM etc.).
- Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma initiatives.
- Experience with NIST compliance.
- Experience with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliance.
