Job Description Summary:
The Collateral Specialist is responsible for assisting team members with general questions and guidance. Creating necessary exceptions for all new loans and renewals to ensure tracking of required documentation for collateral folders.
What Youll Do:
Researching loan credit disputes for the Bank and furnishing information to the credit Reporting Agencies with 100% accuracy according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) regulations Metro 2 and current Bank procedures.
Research and review inquiries from the line of business regarding collateral.
Assist with research requests audit reviews and department projects as needed.
Process ongoing collateral monitoring functions including follow-up on property insurance flood insurance investment account statements property tax status etc.
Create and clear insurance exceptions in conjunction with researching and reviewing incoming mail related to flood insurance or hazard insurance.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an office or operations environment which services and supports banking line of business.
Must have significant experience with commercial and consumer loans specifically booking experience.
Highly organized and ability to complete a high volume of tasks within assigned service levels.
IBS system experience preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills and organizational skills.
Strong understanding of various loan documents banking processing standards best practices and audit control procedures.

Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this role is $42000 - $55000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors such as a candidates qualifications skills and experience.
