The New Business Commercial Underwriting unit provides commercial underwriting support for the Direct Sales Force and the strategic broker partners within the Broker Gateway.
Job Description
The Commercial Underwriter is responsible for structuring quotes and underwriting policies for the Direct Sales Force and/or the strategic broker partners within the Broker Gateway. The Underwriter is expected to adhere to Atradius governance and seek proper signoffs for any deviations as required. A balance between premium growth and risk management should always be sought when underwriting.
In this position your key responsibilities will be:
- Prepare all required information for structuring and pricing deals
- Structure new business quotes for clients in a multitude of industries / trade sectors.
- Foster relationships with risk underwriters and seek their support on risk underwriting
- Organize and conduct deal team meetings or calls on key deals
- Foster relationships with broker partners and seek their feedback on all outgoing quotes.
- Turnaround quotes with expediency
- Assist with internal trainings meetings reporting requirements etc. as needed.
- Travel as needed to visit broker partners and attend Broker Gateway events.
Major Skills and Competencies:
- Understanding of Atradius pricing methodology and policy structure.
- The ability to prepare present and defend new business cases for approval with management.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills (fluency in English)
- The ability to be flexible and handle multiple task.
- Ability to travel.
What qualification should you have The ideal candidate will have the following profile:
- Bachelors Degree in Business or Finance
- 2 years minimum experience in Commercial or Risk Underwriting
- Strong business skills such as marketing and negotiating.
- Microsoft Office skills and the ability to perform functions in Atradius systems.

- Competitive Salary:$75000 $90000 annually (dependent on experience level and location) with 10% bonus potential
