Job Description

The QA Specialist will support quality assurance activities across all FLS manufacturing operations in the Americas region (NAMER & SAMER). This role ensures alignment with the global Quality Management System (QMS) leads non-conformance and audit processes and drives continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen product quality and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the site-level Quality Management System (QMS) documentation across manufacturing units ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and FLS procedures.
  • Plan and perform regular internal quality audits in coordination with HSE ensuring adherence to IMS requirements and facilitating timely corrective actions.
  • Lead the Non-Conformance (NC) Management process across the region using the Intelex applicationtracking issues performing root cause analysis and driving horizontal deployment of corrective actions.
  • Monitor and report key Quality KPIs such as NC closures defect rates Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and process capability. Provide guidance and support to sites for target achievement.
  • Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
  • Prepare for and facilitate external audits (ISO customer and third-party) ensuring readiness and ongoing compliance with certifications.
  • Deliver training and guidance to site-level teams on Intelex tools problem-solving methods quality fundamentals and audit preparedness.


What you bring

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Industrial Quality or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with ISO 9001 internal auditing and non-conformance management.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software systems (e.g. Intelex) and problem-solving tools (8D Fishbone 5 Whys etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (certification preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the Americas region.
