In this position...

As a Quality Control Engineer your main responsibility is to ensure that products are made to the highest level of quality. This includes overseeing the quality of raw materials production processes and finished products. Your job description entails working with cross-functional teams to establish quality standards testing processes and inspection protocols. You will analyze data create reports and provide recommendations to improve quality.

Daily tasks as a Quality Control Engineer include verification of quality control plans performing audits to ensure compliance identifying root causes of quality issues and collaborating with suppliers and customers to meet their needs. You should have excellent communication skills the ability to work well in a team and strong problem-solving skills.



Responsibilities

What youll do...

  • Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with production teams and the UAW quality to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Analyze and reduce sources of variation.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to quality control processes and results.
  • Train production staff on quality control procedures and standards.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to quality issues.
  • Monitor and report on quality control metrics and trends.


Qualifications

Youll have...

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lead cross-functional groups to resolve concerns
  • Strong written and oral communication skills: you will be speaking or presenting to Ford leadership or representing Ford while engaging with 3rd party suppliers
  • High level of analytical and statistical skills to trend quality data and take appropriate actions
  • Ability to positively influence change
  • Ability to handle complex issues and multi-tasking
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in using Outlook Excel and PowerPoint. Understanding of the concepts and principles surrounding Business Objects SharePoint and other Ford-specific software.

Even better you may have...

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Warranty Production and/or Manufacturing Quality experience preferred.
  • Six Sigma skills and previous quality experience preferred.
  • Experienced in working with GSAR GCQIS WPAC Global 8D Data cubes and BSAQpreferred.
  • EV/ battery JD Power experience.
