We are looking for a dedicated Utility Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. This is an ambitious opportunity to work at a world-class facility ensuring flawless operations and maintenance of our utilities systems. Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and supervision to support utilities system maintenance and operation.
  • Coordinate the operation and maintenance of HVAC chiller boilers air compressor WFI and RODI systems.
  • Collaborate with the validation team to complete the qualification and re-qualification of facilities and utilities systems.
  • Draft and prepare maintenance and operation SOPs and PM plans for utility systems.
  • Manage utilities and facilities systems-related changes and deviation management.
  • Cooperate with internal and external audit teams.
  • Complete small CAPEX projects related to utilities and facilities systems.
  • Develop and implement utilities and facilities shutdown plans.
  • Review as-built drawings engineering technical data and performance data.
  • Support third-party vendors in performing routine inspection preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance based on site engineering and quality requirements.
  • Complete all routine maintenance works as scheduled and in compliance with engineering standards and safety procedures.
  • Accurately complete and process all GMP documentation related to maintenance activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

Education:

  • University degree in engineering or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 4 to 6 years of proven experience in the maintenance of utilities and facilities systems including validation/GMP issues.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems and Environmental Monitoring Systems.
  • Understanding of electrical standards and local requirements and general electrical safety standard methodologies.
  • SAP/CMMS experience is an advantage.

Proficiencies:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
  • Strong planning scheduling organizing prioritizing and project coordination skills.
  • Deep understanding of facilities systems related to validation/GMP requirements.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with knowledge of various RCA tools.
  • Capable of working independently and performing machine maintenance work.
