The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop chiral metamaterials conduct atomic-scale characterizations of hierarchical self-assemblies and employ X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy for structure solution.
We are looking for aresearch fellow to conduct research on manufacturing of colloidal metamaterials that will be applicable in diagnosis of diseases. The role will focus on synthesis and characterization of the developed materials across length scale and will focus on coupling the hybrid interfaces with biological molecules for optical detection.
Key Responsibilities:
Design conduct and analyze experiments related to chiral materials or optoelectronic devices.
Perform high-quality research and disseminate findings through peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences.
Supervise and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Collaborate with both local and international research groups.
Participate in the conduct of research project with research team members to ensure completion of deliverables
Maintenance of lab or equipment or supplies that include procurement and liaison with suppliers
Assist or Produce high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings
Job Requirements:
A PhD in Chemistry Materials Science or a related field.
Expertise in the structure solution of nanomaterials using XRD TEM and 3D-ED.
Proficiency in advanced characterization techniques such as SEM TEM AFM UV-Vis spectroscopy etc.
A robust publication record in high-impact journal.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities in a research-intensive environment.
