Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and supervising all maintenance operations including preventive maintenance repair and emergency response.
- Support the planning and execution of maintenance schedules for HVAC electrical plumbing and other critical systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and initiate necessary repairs or replacements.
- Ensure compliance with safety health and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with Housekeeping Front Office and other departments to address maintenance-related issues promptly.
- Lead train and motivate a team of technicians to ensure high standards of work and productivity.
- Manage inventory of tools parts and materials and coordinate with procurement when necessary.
- Ensure timely documentation and reporting of maintenance activities incidents and equipment status.
- Support sustainability and energy-saving initiatives across the property.
- Assist in preparing budgets maintenance reports and capital improvement plans.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization in all back-of-house engineering areas.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Electrical or Building Services Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 35 years of experience in hotel engineering/maintenance operations with at least 12 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC MEP systems building automation fire safety and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to manage technical teams and multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Familiar with local building codes safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to work on shifts weekends and public holidays as required.
