The Office of Service Efficiency (the Office) was established in 2015 to develop and implement a regulatory reform and modernization agenda in Nova Scotia. It began its work with a focus on reducing barriers to doing business in Nova Scotia and has since expanded its scope to include other groups including physicians and citizens.
It delivers on its mandate through its work in three primary areas: 1) by providing an independent assessment of legislative proposals regulatory proposals and process changes to evaluate alignment with best practice as outlined in the Charter of Governing Principles for Regulation which includes measuring the financial impact of individual proposals and initiatives for costs or savings 2) improving service provided by government to support compliance with legislation regulation and governmental processes and 3) working with partners including government partners in aligning legislative and regulatory approaches and processes.
Our work to improve and modernize Nova Scotias regulatory environment is an important contributor to the provinces broader economic strategy and the Office has been nationally recognized for its work.
As the Regulatory Analyst you will consult and collaborate with internal stakeholders to lead provide guidance train and ensure usage on and compliance with the tools systems and processes developed by the Office.

This may be the right opportunity for you if you have a Degree in Law Masters of Public Administration or related discipline or an equivalent combination of training and experience along with 2 years of experience working in an analytical and strategic development role.

This is a TERM employment opportunity with anticipated end date of September 11 2026. The appointment status (term temporary or casual) is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.
Pay Grade: EC 11
Salary Range: $3418.96- $4273.75Bi-Weekly
