We are seeking applications for the position of Assistant Accountant in the Finance Department. The role is a permanent full-time position based in the Toowoomba Office.
The key responsibilities of the role are:
- Providing financial information to allocated entities of Mort & Co
- Cash management and vendor payments
- Invoicing and purchase order activities
- Bank reconciliations
- Monthly general ledger reconciliations and journals
- Assisting with fixed asset management including insurance finance and asset registers
- Assisting with the preparation of BAS payroll tax returns and income tax returns
- Assisting with other statutory reporting and auditor enquiries
- Assisting with enquiries from various departments
ABOUT YOU
To key requirements of the role are:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting / Finance or equivalent experience together with an understanding of accounting standards and principles
- High level of attention to detail
- Intermediate level Excel skills
- Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
- Work well autonomously and in a team
- Collaborative communication skills.
