Garage Door Installer

OVERVIEW

The Garage Door Installer is responsible for the professional installation service and repair of residential and/or commercial garage doors openers and related hardware. This role requires strong mechanical skills attention to detail and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions

• Install residential and/or commercial garage doors and openers in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards
• Load transport and unload materials tools and hardware to job sites
• Inspect job site conditions and verify measurements prior to installation
• Use hand and power tools to assemble and install door sections track springs cables and other components
• Ensure proper functionality alignment and safety of installed systems
• Communicate effectively with customers on-site regarding the scope of work timelines and proper door operation
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment including company vehicles
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Complete job documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Competencies/Skills/Abilities

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand/power tools
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and perform physical labor
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record required
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management and reliability
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience in construction carpentry or garage door installation a plus
• Willingness to work in indoor and outdoor environments and various weather conditions
