Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Java Software Engineer to lead the design development and maintenance of our enterprise healthcare management systems. This role will play a critical part in building new generation software systems while also supporting and modernizing legacy platforms. You will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies contribute to CI/CD processes and provide technical leadership to the development team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise healthcare management systems.
- Design and implement new generation software systems while supporting legacy applications.
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines leveraging AWS CDK.
- Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Develop and maintain software modules integrating user interfaces server components and databases.
- Work independently on medium-to-high complexity tasks escalating issues as necessary.
- Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather requirements and propose innovative solutions.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and code reviews providing mentorship and technical guidance.
- Apply software design patterns clean code practices and industry best practices in all development efforts.
Requirements
- 8 years of hands-on software development experience with Java technologies.
- Proven track record of mentoring engineers conducting code reviews and driving technical initiatives.
- Expertise in Java (Java SE Java EE) and strong proficiency with modern Java frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot Jakarta EE).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GCP Azure).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI) and best practices for automated deployment pipelines.
- Proficiency in working with both SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB DynamoDB).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs microservices architecture and containerization (Docker Kubernetes).
- Strong grasp of design patterns object-oriented principles and best practices in enterprise software development.
- Ability to support and modernize legacy Java-based applications.
