The Illinois Center for Specialized Professional Support (ICSPS) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Workforce Innovation Coordinator to play a pivotal role in advancing the Centers mission.
As the Workforce Innovation Coordinator you will be leading projects facilitating meetings assisting with program implementation developing high-quality products conducting research providing online and in-person professional development and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders across Illinois. This position requires strong organizational analytical and communication skills along with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse projects.
ICSPS is committed to creating supporting and delivering exceptional professional development for career technical adult education and workforce professionals throughout Illinois. We provide vital technical assistance develop insightful publications and implement program improvement strategies that focus on transition recruitment retention and completion all while championing the success of targeted populations. Established in 1977 at Illinois State University ICSPS operates within the Educational Administration and Foundations Department of the College of Education.

This is a non-continuous grant-funded position. The initial appointment will end on June 30 2026 the end of the current grant year. Appointment renewal for the following grant year will be based on available grant funding and performance.
University Benefit Highlights: $3750 - $5000 monthly 1. Bachelors degree. Possible areas include educational leadership workforce development workforce education economic development public administration policy or a humanities field. 1. Masters and/or Advanced degree in public administration economic development education educational leadership business workforce education adult education policy or humanities field with specialization or significant experience in policy implementation or business engagement and issues related to these areas. 2. Two or more years of work experience in educational leadership adult education workforce education economic development public administration policy or a humanities field with specialization or significant experience in Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) policy implementation business engagement economic development or adult education and issues related to these areas.
3. Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to work independently take initiative exercise good judgment and manage what can be at times a stressful work environment.
4. Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
5. Ability to perform independent research and apply critical reasoning skills to solve complex issues.
6. Ability to multitask and self-manage assigned projects and daily tasks in an environment with shifting priorities. Attention to detail and ability to follow up on directives.
7. Strong facilitation skills and experience presenting both in person and online.
8. Demonstrated media literacy skills and is proficient in Virtual Meeting Platforms such as Zoom Meeting Zoom Webinar and Microsoft Teams.
9. Proven customer service skills and the ability to work with a diverse constituency.
10. Proficiency in creating and managing documents spreadsheets and databases using standard office software (e.g. Microsoft Office Microsoft Teams). Experience with electronic calendaring and email platforms. Familiarity with web content management systems such as Canvas and Talent is preferred.
11. Experience developing and utilizing implementation tools and evaluation tools. Ability to analyze and pilot previously developed work with identified audiences.
12. Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional traveling.

2. Knowledge and understanding of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Career Pathways Initiative Adult Education Career and Technical Education Perkins Open Meetings Act implementation and evaluation models.
3. Work experience with at least one of the following special or targeted populations: single parents out-of-work individuals re-entry citizens individuals with disabilities homeless people military families or veterans English language learners economically disadvantaged foster care-involved youth and students pursuing nontraditional occupations for their gender.
4. Experience working on federal or state grants to understand pace and expectations.Work Hours
