Job Description
WellSpan Health a sophisticated medical community in south central Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Breast Surgeon to provide care to the residents of Adams & Franklin Counties. This is an opportunity to be employed by a mature well-established medical group of 2300 providers. Position details:
- Candidates are required to be board certified/eligible in General Surgery
- Opportunity to lead WellSpans NAPBC Accredited Breast Center
- Fellowship training in Breast Surgery preferred.
- High volume of breast pathology.
- Advanced breast imaging capabilities.
- Youll enjoy the support of specialists including medical & radiation oncology & plastic surgery
- The oncology team collaborates with Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center
- The area is experiencing an influx of young families & retirees from major NE cities
- Youll inherit a patient panel from a busy breast surgeon whos retiring.
- Large primary care & OB/GYN referral base will ensure steady practice growth

Qualifications
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required
Licenses:
- Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
- Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
- Boarded in appropriate specialty. Upon Hire Required and
- Completion of a residency. Upon Hire Required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Teaching skills.
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Good phone skills.
- Excellent Customer Service.
- Organized sets priorities and able to multi-task.
