Job Description

The Role:

As the Oyuki Store Manager youll lead the daily operations of a fast-paced retail-focused store. Your role is to ensure smooth processes high team performance and outstanding customer experiences whether its on the shop floor or behind the scenes.

Youll manage stock and keep the store looking sharp all while creating a fun professional environment where both staff and customers feel welcome. This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone who thrives in a high-energy seasonal retail setting.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Store Operations

  • Oversee all aspects of Rhythm Hirafus retail store including sales inventory staffing and customer service
  • Ensure high retail standards with a clean organized and on-brand store environment
  • Track inventory place orders and manage deliveries to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Analyze sales trends and implement forward-thinking strategies to drive profitability
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ski and snowboard products trends and technologies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and effective communication of procedures across the team

Team Leadership

  • Recruit train and develop a diverse international retail team
  • Lead motivate and empower staff to deliver high performance and strong teamwork
  • Build a positive engaging and supportive store culture
  • Manage rosters and approve timesheets in Tanda to align with business needs
  • Collaborate with other department and store managers to support Rhythm Japans wider goals

Customer Experience & Admin

  • Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations to guests and team members
  • Handle customer feedback and concerns with professionalism and efficiency
  • Monitor POS activity to ensure smooth sales transactions and accurate reporting
  • Support achievement of sales targets through excellent service and product promotion

What you need to succeed:

Leadership & People Skills

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
  • Strong communication skills to create a positive high-performing store culture
  • Confidence managing feedback coaching and staff development

Retail & Sales Expertise

  • Solid experience in retail management ideally in snowsports or outdoor industries
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies and customer buying behaviors
  • Passion for ski and snowboard gear with up-to-date product knowledge

Operations Know-How

  • Experience managing stock tracking sales and analyzing trends
  • Comfortable using systems like POS inventory software and Tanda for scheduling
  • A practical mindset with a focus on efficiency accuracy and results

Customer Focus

  • A natural at providing standout customer service
  • Ability to resolve issues calmly and professionally
  • Enthusiasm for helping people find the right gear and have a great store experience
