About the Job:
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a front-end development this role you will use your knowledge and experience to lead a team of engineers to success.
Taulia is looking for an engineering manager who can:
Lead by example and inspire people to do their best. Improve productivity and protect it.
Keep things realistic. Solve challenging problems and more importantly help avoid them.
Intellectually curious ask questions and connects things meaningfully.
Write elegant maintainable reusable code in React and Groovy/Java using our tools Gradle Spring Jersey and more...
Primary responsibilities:
Ensure the efficacy and productivity of the team by removing blockers and impediments that may be preventing engineers from contributing.
Ensure the well-being and collaborative spirit of the team by fostering a supportive culture where engineers can succeed.
Work closely with Product Managers to schedule and oversee story grooming sessions that translate business requirements into technical requirements.
Oversee the hiring of new engineers.
Mentor and teach engineers the best practices to succeed and grow in their careers.
Monitor the health of applications in production environments and be prepared to respond to incidents whenever necessary.
Ensure a high rate of automated test coverage and implement whatever additional testing measures are necessary to provide confidence in the quality of the teams code.
Plan and run team meetings standups and oversee the progress of deliverables.
Help plan the technical details around high-level business initiatives and features.
Provide code reviews.
And finally pull stories from the backlog and code!
Requirements:
5 years working in front-end or full stack software development and experience with:
A modern front-end JavaScript framework such as React Vue Angular etc.
Javascript test frameworks.
Functional tests frameworks such as Cypress and/or Selenium.
CI development and monitoring tools such as Jenkins New Relic Graylog etc.
Nice to Have:
Experience with .
React & React functional components and hooks.
Developing microservice or SOA API applications with a server language such as Java NodeJS PHP etc.
Java and/or Groovy.
Jersey & Spring.
Working in legacy web frameworks such as jQuery and server pages (JSP ASP PHP etc).
