Job Description
Makati Shangri-La Manila
Makati Shangri-La is a deluxe hotel located at the center of Manilas financial and commercial district only minutes away from the international airport. The hotel offers spacious guestrooms and suites the exclusive Horizon Club world-class restaurants and bars top-of-the-line recreational facilities complimentary broadband and Wi-Fi Internet access and premiere function rooms.
We are hiring for a Duty Engineer.
As a Duty Engineer we rely you to:
- Ensurethat the Hotel equipment and areas are maintained and operated in accordance with Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts standard
- Check daily utilities readings and make sure operation is most efficient.
- Ensureall engineering employees follow the Engineering Standards and Procedures as issued from time to time.
- Conductshift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known.
- Managethe technicianto maintain all machinery equipment and record work process for the property.
- Responsible for the proper organization and functioning of the energy management function of the Engineering Department.
- Demonstrate awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines and ensure direct reports do the same.
- Analyseand monitorenergy costs and expenditures for the department.
- Ensurethat personal grooming and hygiene standards are being observed doing spot checks in the morning.
- Perform any other duties which may be assigned by the management from time to time.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proper bearing good health physically fit neat & pleasant
- Has at least 5years experience in the same field.
- Has certificate from Technical College in Mechanics or Electricity or equivalent.
- Demonstrates awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S addition first aid and fire and emergency procedures.
- Demonstrates high quality work has good communication & problem solving skills organizational and training abilities
- Highly motivated goal-oriented and has the aptitude to learn
- Leads by example
- Communicates and writes with fluency in English (and local language)
