Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on motivated Production Floor Supervisor to lead daily operations on our manufacturing this role you will oversee a team of technicians ensuring safety quality and efficiency in every step of the production process. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment balances people management with technical know-how and is committed to driving continuous improvement. This is a critical role where your leadership will directly impact productivity team morale and the overall success of our operations.
General Characteristics:
The Production Supervisor is a working supervisor who will work within a small team supporting various engineering projects through completion. The position will supervise and coordinate the activities of the production staff and will manage production flow quality and productivity. The successful candidate will be a mechanically inclined individual with experience with assembly construction or maintenance and proven management experience. This person would need to be comfortable working with various types of machinery and power tools. This candidate will need a drive to provide high quality products and have attention to detail and do so in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Manage production staff enforcing policies and procedures providing training and assistance and applying disciplinary action as needed
- Plan production activities to meet company objectives and deadlines coordinating staff activities to best utilize personnel and company resources
- Develop methods of improvements in current production practices to promote efficiency and reduce costs
- Responsible for ensuring quality products are delivered to clients by focusing on quality assurance and attention to detail to produce high caliber products
- Ensure that all safety policies are adhered to by all production staff and correct any safety issues
- Assist with supply chain practices
- Ensures that good housekeeping practices are maintained
- Provide training and guidance to employees
- Daily communication and coordination with members at all levels of the Engineering team clients vendors and other staff
- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of various products using both hand and power tools
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- At least five years of experience of production shop floor experience
- At least two years of experience in a supervisory role
- AAS in Manufacturing Technology or related field preferred
- Proven hands-on experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Assembly
Physical Requirements:
- Constant standing/walking with ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds
- Capable of using hand electric and pneumatic tools for various projects
- Requires constant pushing pulling standing reaching grasping and bending stooping
Work Environment:
- Exposure to dust shavings oil grease noise vibration dirt heat fumes
