We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on IT Applications Manager (Software Solutions) to lead the development integration and optimization of software platforms supporting our retail eCommerce and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in enterprise systems and programming coupled with proven leadership experience in managing a software engineering team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation enhancement and support of business-critical systems including Point of Sale (POS) ERP CRM and WMS platforms
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers and business analysts to deliver high-quality scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define system requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Manage end-to-end delivery of web applications and internal integration solutions that streamline business operations and enhance system interoperability
- Ensure system integrations data consistency and security across platforms
- Maintain a hands-on role in programming particularly in Python and perform regular code reviews
- Drive internal systems integration using APIs message queues or middleware to ensure real-time data exchange across platforms
- Ensure technical documentation best practices and change management processes are adhered to
- Monitor emerging technologies and propose strategic system improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- 5 years of relevant IT/software experience with at least 2 years in a managerial or technical lead role
- Strong technical expertise in Python and software development best practices
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Alicloud)
- Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD pipelines or API integrations
- Proven experience with one or more enterprise systems including: POS systems (e.g. Oracle Xstore) ERP (e.g. SAP) CRM (e.g. Salesforce) OMS WMS RFID Ecommerce (Salesforce Commerce Cloud)
- Experience working in retail eCommerce or supply chain industries
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across business and technical teams
