Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that raw materials components or products received from suppliers meet the companys quality standards. Monitor and secure the preventive maintenance and calibration of the equipment. Observe and watch the environment condition of the working area.
  • Inspection & Testing: Inspect incoming materials components and products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards. Perform various tests (e.g. visual functional mechanical chemical) on incoming materials. Measure physical attributes using tools like calipers micrometers and gauges. Conduct material or product sampling to identify defects or non-conformities.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Record and document all incoming quality inspection results. Maintain accurate logs of inspections findings and test results. Report any issues to the Quality Assurance Engineer Engineering or procurement teams. Prepare and submit reports on quality metrics related to incoming materials.
  • Non-Conformance Handling: Identify and escalate non-conforming materials to the appropriate department. Assist in the root cause analysis for recurring quality issues. Ensure that rejected or non-conforming materials are handled documented and segregated properly.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the incoming inspection process. Recommend changes to inspection procedures based on trends in quality data. Ensure compliance with company policies industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains the MRB system to ensure that hold materials and products are dispositioned with proper hold tag and identified locations.

Education & Experience

  • At least second year College level
  • At least one year working experience as Quality Inspector in the related field
