Job Description
About the Practice:
The practice consists of 3 physicians and 1 Physician Assistant. Gulf Coast Obstetrics and Gynecology is committed to providing the highest quality compassionate care to women in the Sarasota/Manatee area. Gulf Coast Obstetrics and Gynecology offers complete Womens Health Services including gynecologic and obstetrical care diagnostic ultrasound urodynamic evaluations in-office DEXA scans and infertility treatments.
Position Highlights:
Perform patient exams screenings treatments and record patient health history for both OB & GYN patients
Round with physicians in the hospital
Assist in the Operating Room with c-sections and GYN surgeries
Office based procedures such as Colposcopies & Endometrial biopsies IUD insertions and removals
Prescribe medications therapies; order/perform and interpret diagnostic testing
Provide pre and post-natal care family planning services and patient education and counseling
Assist and work closely with physicians to provide patient care
No weekends or call
Patient volume: 15-22 patients per day

Requirements:
National Physician Assistant certification or ability to obtain
Unrestricted active licensure in the State or ability to obtain
Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
CPR BLS and NALS Certification or ability to obtain
Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
Ability to communicate with patients team members and management staff
Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
One year of full-time experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred
