As our Senior Software Automation Engineer youll support HIDs successby:
- Contributing to the architecture design and development of new product features components workflows proof of concept prototypes interfaces. Work on repaying technical debt and making sure our products are the best they can be
- Taking part in Scaled Agile software development process performing tasks including coding and testing modules maintaining and tuning applications and related components
- Participating in troubleshooting/task identification work effort estimates and work schedules for development and maintenance activities
- Ensuring that all tasks are performed in accordance with specific internal procedures and standards as well as industry best practices
- Ensuring and demonstrating code quality through comprehensive and effective unit testing coverage
- Taking responsibility for maintaining and continuously developing testing frameworks and actual automation testing of backend platform. This includes everything from unit testing down to full scale automated integration testing. It is given that tests are always part of wider platform (TestTrack Pro)
YourExperienceand Background include:
- Bachelors degree required in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent (Masters degree preferred). Candidates with an equivalent education plus relevant work experience may also be considered
- 5 years of development experience in high level language
- 5 years of development experience in backend systems
- Experience in working with Docker and deployment and delivery of complex solutions within cloud services
- Familiar with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React is a big plus
- Respect for Computer Science fundamentals design patterns and development best practices
- Understanding of Agile Methodology and Principles is a must
- Must be comfortable communicating with development teams Product Owners in English
- High level of personal accountability as evidenced by their commitment resilience ownership and mindset toward continuous learning
- Continuous improvement - must be constantly growing ones craft learning new tools and techniques and sharing these within and among teams
- Understand that their role in the organization is broader than the details included in this job description
- Excellent interpersonal skills the ability to work with diverse personality types
- Managed language will be used for development. Candidate to be considered must be fluent in one of those but whether it is Java or C# or something else is to be decided
- Experience with automation testing and passion for automation
- Basics of software engineering such as git unit testing sql fundamentals and rest api are taken for granted
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language both verbally and in writing
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals specifications international technical standards etc.
- Working knowledge of Czech or Slovak is an advantage
