The Bench Technician is responsible for achieving the customer satisfaction goals of the department by repairing customer equipment in a timely professional and complete manner. Service Technician work under the general Supervision of the Service Shop Team Leader
Responsibilities:
- Possess a basic understanding of all brands and configuration of equipment offered by New England Coffee Company including coffee tea and related allied product preparation equipment
- Familiar with wiring schematics
- Possess basic diagnostic skills
- Troubleshoot customer equipment and technical problems with member of the sales force over the telephone
- Proactively detects and corrects potential problems before they occur
- Completes clear and accurate work orders documenting service provided parts used and the results
- Performs related duties as assigned by the Equipment Supervisor
- Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment tools and person. Report any injury or accident immediately to supervisor and/or any unsafe condition
- Ensure the operation is providing food-safe quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prefer 1 year experience as repair technician
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
