The Specialist Intelligence Department (SID) sits at the core of the FCAs efforts to protect consumers and prevent economic crime. It provides critical intelligence and insight across the organisation supporting fast-paced high-impact work to tackle fraud money laundering and other financial threats.
SID collaborates with a wide network of UK and international partners including law enforcement regulators government and the private sector to deliver a joined-up approach to financial crime prevention.
Within SID the Partners & Insight (P & I) team leads strategic coordination with key external bodies such as the National Economic Crime Centre driving the UK Economic Crime Plan Fraud Strategy and the FCAs Financial Crime Public Commitment through targeted engagement and intelligence sharing.
What will you be doing
Spearhead a high-performing multi-disciplinary team to deliver the FCAs economic crime strategy driving measurable impact across the UK financial crime ecosystem
Provide proactive leadership and development for internal staff and secondees at the NECC fostering a culture of accountability growth and excellence
Represent senior leadership at key meetings and events delivering clear insights through MI and strategic briefings that shape decision-making
Forge strong partnerships with law enforcement government and international bodies to disrupt economic crime through coordinated action
Lead operational engagement with external partners streamlining case referrals resolving conflicts and enabling secure intelligence exchange
Champion best practice and innovation across P&I enhancing intelligence capabilities and unlocking collaboration opportunities across the FCA

Gain exposure to varied workstreams and typologies influencing regulatory enforcement and policy outcomes through cross-sector collaboration

Minimum
Experience of leading or supporting teams
Experience of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience of producing high-quality written outputs including reports and briefings for senior stakeholders
Essential
Experience in roles requiring strong knowledge of the UK economic crime landscape FCAs responsibilities and cross-system commitments
Skilled in influencing stakeholders to promote intelligence sharing support operations and represent FCA capabilities across workstreams
Demonstrates adaptability and continuous improvement embracing learning change and shifting priorities
Able to challenge constructively apply sound judgment and defend decisions when appropriate
Proficient in handling sensitive intelligence securely with practical experience of NIM FCA gateways and records management
