Position Description:
We are looking for an Entry Level Landscape Architect to join our Community Design Team to improve infrastructure in our Detroit office. The candidate must be a bachelors degree in landscape architecture and have zero to five years of related experience. The candidate must also be self-motivated work well with others and have excellent writing organizational and communication skills.
Typical responsibilities include:
Perform technical design of job (urban design public space design land development recreation projects etc.) from schematic design through construction document phase
Develop design plans for urban planning park and urban design projects
Articulate ideas through hand sketching and delineation
Prepare renderings and maps
Prepare construction documents
Assist in master plan analysis
Assist in writing proposals and making technical presentations
Research existing land use
Perform site analysis
Prepare project specifications
Research and complete permits as necessary
Assist in construction cost estimating
Attend various meetings (client staff public etc.)
Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture required
Skills/Experience:
0 - 5 years of related experience required
