Position Description:
We are looking for an Entry Level Landscape Architect to join our Community Design Team to improve infrastructure in our Detroit office. The candidate must be a bachelors degree in landscape architecture and have zero to five years of related experience. The candidate must also be self-motivated work well with others and have excellent writing organizational and communication skills.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Perform technical design of job (urban design public space design land development recreation projects etc.) from schematic design through construction document phase
- Develop design plans for urban planning park and urban design projects
- Articulate ideas through hand sketching and delineation
- Prepare renderings and maps
- Prepare construction documents
- Assist in master plan analysis
- Assist in writing proposals and making technical presentations
- Research existing land use
- Perform site analysis
- Prepare project specifications
- Research and complete permits as necessary
- Assist in construction cost estimating
- Attend various meetings (client staff public etc.)
- Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture required
Skills/Experience:
- 0 - 5 years of related experience required
