Description of Work

This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County.


Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $35.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).


This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 101 Blair Dr Raleigh NC 27603.

The Application Analyst performs technical and analytical work in the maintenance and support of an enterprise-wide Integrated HR-Payroll System (HRIS) for the organization. They are primarily responsible for the overall build of the workflows system configurations change documentation and support of operations for the Kronos Workforce Central System and the UKG Workforce Dimension Systems to maintain continuity DSOHF Timekeeping and Payroll Operations. The position solves production support issues and implements system enhancements and fixes of routine to moderate complexity. Application Analyst must have technical knowledge in supporting the UKG Workforce Dimensions System.
Responsibilities:
Gain thorough knowledge of HRIS operations and the integration between system modules and the States Human Resources business processes and procedures.
Design configure and support specific system modules such as Benefits Time Organizational Management Personnel Administration Payroll Employee Self
Service and Manager Self Service.
Responsible in assisting the technical team in configuration of the timekeeping and payroll applications.
Provides guidance to less knowledgeable technical administrators to address configuration testing and deployment challenges related to HRIS time keeping and payroll systems.
Collaborate in a team environment to understand business requirements and test the system to match those requirements.
Assists in the coordination of end-user support activities.
Creates the test plans for the application which include test script and use cases delvelopment executes the test plans and version upgrades and documents all
test outcomes including troubleshooting and support.
Assists in the coordination of end-user support activities.
Responsible for addressing advance build issues recommending mitigation plans and resolutions and escalating more complex issues to the vendor and
management.
Interact as a team member on projects manage and complete assigned project tasks.
Work as part Timekeeping Helpdesk team to resolve more advance timekeeping and payroll issues related to new hires separations promotions and transfers for FTEs Agency and Temp Solutions Staff
Support DSOHF Facilities Kronos Timeclock configurations testing maintenance enhancements and connectivity.
Leverage HRIS reporting tools to provide daily and monthly timekeeping metrics to management.
Communicate effectively with timekeepers HR staff and operational leaders to promote relevant understanding of key issues.
Develop reports for management this include data views system performance and employee records.
Strong understanding of cloud technologies and DevOps principles.
Must have Python skills using Visual Studio Code.
Strong background in using Microsoft Products this include MS Excel Access VisioPowerBi
Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
Must have demonstrated experience with Dell Boomi API and Flat File integrations for UKG Payroll Pro and UKG Pro Workforce Management Desirable Dell Boomi Certification or experience working with the platform.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data exercising sound judgment and discretion in gathering and evaluating personal data.

Bachelors degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution or

Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business application consulting or development or

High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience in business application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
