Job Description

The NTU University Advancement Office (UAO) supports the Universitys giving mission by fostering meaningful relationships and strategic partnerships with philanthropists alumni business community partners corporations foundations and friends that result in goodwill and philanthropy towards education and research.

The Manager Advancement Services ensures proper gift closure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for all fundraising activities at the University. It involves drafting and reviewing agreements adherence to guidelines and policies and managing risks associated with fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Draft review and negotiate donor agreements and contracts.

  • Develop and update fundraising policies.

  • Provide training on legal compliance and ethical fundraising practices.

  • Assess and mitigate legal risks related to fundraising efforts.

  • Facilitate communication between legal fundraising and administrative teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with a minor in law preferred.

  • At least 6 7 years of working experience. Candidates with direct experience in dealing with legal contracts or policies and compliance matters would be preferred.

  • Knowledge of the nonprofit sector and/or fundraising would be highly advantageous.

  • Strong understanding of relevant regulations and guidelines.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving.

  • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance.

  • Strong ethical judgment and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
