You: You are a highly skilled and motivated Splunk Developer with extensive experience designing developing and customizing dashboards reports and applications within the Splunk platform. You thrive on solving complex problems integrating data from diverse sources and creating automated workflows that enhance incident response and cybersecurity operations. With strong analytical skills a solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders you are well-positioned to support our federal clients mission-critical objectives.

What Were Looking For: We are seeking a Splunk Developer who will play a pivotal role in advancing our clients Splunk-based monitoring and cybersecurity this role you will:

  • Leading Innovative Projects: Design develop and customize Splunk dashboards reports and applications to meet business requirements optimizing queries and searches for performance.
  • Collaborative Solution Development: Integrate Splunk with external systems using REST APIs and HTTP Event Collectors ensuring data integrity and enabling automated incident response and enrichment.
  • Strategic Impact: Develop automated workflows and scripts within Splunk to support incident response and enhance security operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with IT teams developers and management to translate business needs into Splunk solutions delivering impactful reports and visualizations.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Provide training and support to team members on Splunk best practices while staying current with emerging cybersecurity threats and trends.

The Skills Were Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology Cybersecurity or a related field
  • 46 years of experience utilizing Splunk for development customization and data analysis
  • Strong understanding of Splunk architecture configuration and administration
  • Experience with REST APIs HTTP Event Collectors and data integrations
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • S. Citizenship with eligibility for a Public Trust clearance
  • Certifications preferred: Splunk Certified Developer Splunk Certified Architect (or equivalent)

The Expectations of the Job:

Day One:

  • Orientation into Aretecs mission values and client standards
  • Gain access to Splunk environments and related tools
  • Begin familiarization with existing dashboards workflows and integrations

Day Thirty:

  • Actively contribute to dashboard customization and performance optimization
  • Support integration of external systems using REST APIs and HTTP Event Collectors
  • Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to align Splunk use cases with mission needs

Day Sixty:

  • Develop automated workflows and scripts to streamline incident response
  • Deliver customized dashboards and reports to management and stakeholders
  • Provide recommendations for improving Splunk performance and automation processes

Day Ninety:

  • Take full ownership of Splunk development initiatives
  • Lead efforts to enhance Splunks integration automation and incident response capabilities
  • Mentor team members in Splunk best practices and advanced use cases
