What Youll Do
- With minimal supervision lead plan and/or perform performance audits of company financial systems programs and work may entail (1) evaluations of internal controls to ensure compliance with policies plans procedures generallyaccepted accounting principles laws and contract provisions; (2) determinations of the reliability and integrity of enterprisesystems responsible for financial and operating information and the safeguarding of assets including information andproperty; (3) analyses of the economical and efficient use of resources and efforts to increase productivity (4) evaluations ofthe use of company or government funds (i.e. operating costs incurred by the company or through subcontracting activities)to monitor allowability allocability and reasonableness; and (5) evaluations of strengths and weaknesses of variousalternatives and recommendations of appropriate solutions.
- Be well versed in the application of audit frameworks and standards such as the Institute of Internal Audit Global Standards (Red book) and/or the Government Accountability Office (GAO) (Yellow book).
- With minimal supervision conduct subcontract audit activities which might include determining whether costsproposed or incurred are accurate properly supported allowable/allocable and reasonable in accordance with procurementregulations and subcontract terms. Subcontract audit activities could involve cost-reimbursement and labor-hoursubcontracts fixed-price subcontracts termination claims; financial capability reviews and accounting system reviews.
- With minimal supervision prepare and communicate audit plans progress and results to management and others as directed whichmay include oral presentations and written reports.
- Be proficient with datagathering and analysis techniques.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree. Minimum 5 years of experience for the Internal Auditor - Specialist position and typical relevant experience ranging from5-8 years.
- Relevant professional experience would include the type of audit work typically performed by an Internal Audit organizationor a public accounting/consulting firm. Knowledge of and familiarity with information technology principles and techniques isalso preferred including knowledge of various operating systems and software programs (e.g. Oracle; Office 365 Suite such as Word Excel Outlook Teams and Access; ACL; SAP; and audit software such as Teammate).
