About the Department
The Podiatry department provides podiatry and inter-disciplinary care including high risk foot services to patients across multiple sites including at St Vincents Hospital Fitzroy St Georges Hospital Kew St Vincents on the Park and within our At Home services.
As part of our team you will be supported by experienced podiatrists and a multidisciplinary team through a structured supervision framework. This collaborative approach ensures you have the guidance and resources needed to excel in your clinical practice and contribute meaningfully to the overall team and service functionality.
About the Role
This position is shared between:
Podiatry Department (3 days/week)
St Vincents at Home Allied Health Service (2 days/week)
Youll deliver podiatry assessment treatment and discharge planning across varied care settings. Youll also contribute to team meetings supervision and a quality improvement project supporting service innovation.
Grade 1 classification (CM2CM6): $70590 $85872 p.a.
Grade 2 classification (CM7CM8): $90235 $103724 p.a
Duties
Provide effective assessment treatment and discharge planning for podiatry patients/clients
Contribute to regular team meetings and structured clinical supervision tailored to your learning needs
Participate in regular CPD including support in prescribing as an endorsed prescriber
Complete a formal quality improvement project and present this to the podiatry team and stakeholders
What Were Looking For
Current AHPRA registration as a Podiatrist
Current Victorian Drivers Licence

Position Description
The Podiatry department provides podiatry and inter-disciplinary high risk foot services to patients acrossmultiple sites in acute sub acute and residential care including at St Vincents Hospital Fitzroy St GeorgesHospital Kew St Vincents on the Park residential facilities and correctional health facilities.
4. POSITION PURPOSE
The Grade 2 Podiatrist is responsible for the development and delivery of high quality podiatry care tooutpatients acute and sub-acute inpatients correctional health facilities and patients in their own position is specifically to work at Fitzroy in the High Risk Foot inpatients and inter-disiplinary clinic and
at the St Georges Hospital site in the Allied Health At Home service. Clinical timetabling may rotate andthere may be requirements to work across other SVHM sites and programs. This position may requiresupervision of the Grade 1 Podiatrist and undergraduate podiatry students. This position is accountable to
the Podiatry Department Manager.
5. POSITION DUTIES
Provide optimal podiatry management to patients through effective assessment treatmentevaluation team liaison and discharge planning.
To provide high quality clinically appropriate comprehensive allied health therapy to clients andcarers and in their own homes aligning with the clients expressed goals of care and healthcareneeds and considering the effects of the patients health issues on their life and wellbeing.
Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge of evidence based practice research and newdevelopments.
Be an active member of applicable inter-disciplinary and specialist teams
Liaise closely with community service providers and attend relevant meetings to coordinateclient care
Maintain an appropriate standard of medical record documentation and data collection as perSVHM and local policies
Provide supervision to the Grade 1 Podiatrist in line with professional standards.
Primary student supervisor for the undergraduate podiatry students undertaking placement atSVHM.
Coordinate and facilitate relevant training/education sessions for SVHM employees as requested.
Participate in quality improvement activities in accordance with the departments Quality Planand other tasks as directed by senior staff.
Develop implement and promote innovative clinical practice.
Actively participate in departmental organisational and external meetings as required.

ESSENTIAL REGISTRATION LICENSE OR QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Recognised tertiary qualification in Podiatry
Current registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia
Current Victorian Drivers Licence

Demonstrated experience working within acute sub-acute or community health care settings
High level clinical skills and knowledge particularly in high risk foot podiatry
Demonstrated experience in developing implementing and evaluating quality improvement
