Position Overview:
The Counseling Center Administrative Assistants (AA) primary responsibility is to oversee the day- to-day functioning of the Counseling Centers front office. The AA should have proficient skills with organization customer service and communication to best serve students staff and the general public. It is also essential for the AA to be able to maintain confidentiality.
Overview:
The AA reports directly to the Director of the Counseling Center.
Major Responsibilities:
Oversee and train the student work-studies.
Manage the daily functions of the front office including: answer phones maintain the Counseling Center calendar session scheduling updating client records and interact with guests.
Provides general secretarial services to the Director of the Counseling Center and for the counselors
Manage Counseling Center filing of resources and other documents
Manage student intake process and case files
Inform necessary parties of seminars and other important events in compliance with regulations and for proper advertisement to students staff and faculty
Assist the Director in tasks related to any courses taught
Maintain Counseling Center library
Score manage and organize Taylor Johnson Temperament Analysis testing
Record and report chapel attendance for sessions during chapel and seminars
Assist in seminar preparation
Maintain a confidential positive atmosphere
Other duties as determined by the Director
Qualifications

Proficient skills with organization customer service and communication to best serve students staff and the general public
Ability to maintain confidentiality by complying with FERPA and HIPPA requirements and standards
