Were looking for a Security Specialist to strengthen our Network Functions & Security this role youll play a key part in safeguarding Telias digital infrastructure and supporting our business customers. If youre passionate about protecting networks driving security innovation and making an impact in a dynamic DevSecOps environment this could be your next step.
About the role
As a Security Specialist youll take ownership of Telias firewall and proxy infrastructure ensuring our platforms remain robust scalable and secure. Youll work closely with the Cybersecurity Product Unit to design and deliver security solutions while also contributing to incident response automation and integration of security in new initiatives. This role combines hands-on engineering with the responsibility of keeping our networks resilient against evolving threats.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing the full lifecycle of Telias firewall and proxy solutions.
Designing and implementing secure network and cloud architectures.
Supporting customer-facing security services in collaboration with the Cybersecurity Product Unit.
Handling incident response troubleshooting and change management.
Providing third-line support including on-call duties.
Developing automation scripts and improving security management tools.
Embedding security early in the development lifecycle of new initiatives.

To succeed in this role you bring a solid mix of technical expertise and a problem-solving mindset. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and take ownership of your work with precision and care.
Your background and skills include:
Degree in IT Telecommunications or equivalent experience.
Proven experience with firewalls and proxies hands-on Check Point firewall experience is required.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and LAN environments.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and cloud security.
Familiarity with Git/GitLab Python or other scripting tools.
Several years of IT and network operations experience.
Preferred certifications:
Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE).
Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA).
Personal competencies:
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Initiative-driven with a solution-oriented mindset.
Detail-oriented and thorough in execution.
Curious and eager to grow professionally.
Fluent in English; a Nordic language is an advantage.
