Your work environment

Information Management which is part of Finance within Domestic Bank Netherlands (DBNL) is looking for a strong Business Analyst to enable the delivery of valuable and reliable financial information and data of high quality to fulfil INGs reporting obligations and to support decision making both for Financial Accounting and Reporting and Finance Business Advice (management reporting and providing insight customer profitability).

The team continuously adapts to changes in the banking business its products processes and IT infrastructure to ensure proper reflection in the accounts and reports. Together with the end users the team is responsible to ensure we continuously comply with the changing regulatory reporting and data requirements. Changes are delivered in accordance with the Finance strategy regulatory and Finance Business Advice requirements and business changes.

This vacancy is in a team of 24 people. It is a mixed group in terms of nationalities ages experience and gender where we find it is important everyone can feel part of the team.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Business Analyst you will work in a (BusDevOps) squad with around 8-10 colleagues from different areas of expertise. The squad is responsible for onboarding of data including quality checks so implementing changes in and optimisation of data (warehouses) and related processes applications and reports. This involves amongst others implementing new requests from our stakeholders in reports as well as integration of products and data flows. As a consumer of data we align with sourcing parties on requirements to get the complete and accurate data set in our systems for our stakeholders.

Together with the other squad members you work in a constructive way on implementing changes in the Finance data warehouses and applications.

Your main activities will be:

• Supporting the product owner and take the lead in finance related changes ensuring that all requirements of all relevant stakeholders are acknowledged in the impact analysis and the proposed solution designs.
• Designing and developing new IT solutions that are future proof and easy to maintain in close cooperation with the DevOps team members.
• Creating and enhancing conceptual and logical data models.
• Managing the full process of a change from impact analysis through requirements gathering in direct consultation with the users/stakeholders to solution design to coordination with the architects to user stories to testing to release and after care.
• Analyse finance business issues with the purpose of bringing complete solutions for the requested change.
• Provide the stakeholders with design alternatives and their impact to enable proper decision making.
• The team is responsible for the delivery of solutions with an iterative and incremental agile approach by cooperating in refining the roadmap for overall solution(s) with partial deliveries (releases minimal viable products) and by adjusting requirements and designs based on measurable experiences and feedback.
• Writing user stories for the engineers and set-up acceptance criteria based on requirements and use case scenarios.
• Support the verification and validation of solutions by testing change deliverables and guiding users / clients in the acceptance of them.
• Help to translate solution design into training material- and work instructions for end-users.
• Make sure that lessons learnt and (best and next) practices from your assignments are made available to everyone.

Who are you
You are a pro-active dedicated and an independent thinker who takes responsibility and initiative to get the work done. A true data loving self-starter that can display pragmatism and proactivity with an ability to work in a demanding environment where communication is key.

Furthermore you have:

• A mindset to grow yourself with the ability to challenge learn inspect and adapt;

• A Bachelor or Master degree;
• At least 3 years experience in working in a BusDevOps team is required;
• Experience in Entity Relationship-diagrams and Kimball dimensional modelling is required;
• Experience in creating and enhancing conceptual and logical data models
• Knowledge of functional data warehouse architecture including the ability to adjust;
• You have working experience with big datasets and creating queries on databases;
• A sense of detail and data analysis skills;
• Experience in working with SQL Developer is required;
• Knowledge of SAS EG is required;
• You can overarch business Finance impact;
• Experience in Banking Products is beneficial (including accounting of it);
• Working experience with Agile and Lean is a plus.
