Job Description
LANGUAGE CENTRE
Teaching Assistant (English Section) ()
The appointee is expected to assist the English Section in: (i) developing supplementary teaching and learning materials; (ii) providing support to new and existing English language enhancement activities; (iii) assisting lecturers in teaching; and (iv) performing other duties as assigned by the Head of the English Section and the Head of the Language Centre.
Applicants should possess a bachelors degree in Applied Linguistics/Linguistics English TESOL or Language Studies and a masters degree in a related discipline with native/native-like proficiency in English. Experience in designing English language learning materials organising language enhancement activities and analysing activity or course results and outcomes are required.
The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one to two years commencing September -appointment thereafter is subject to performance review mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
