Job Description

Job Summary
The Biology Lab Manager Student Assistant for Aquaponics will play a key role in supporting the Biology Lab Manager in the design maintenance operation and harvesting of the Swindells Aquaponics Project. This position offers hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture and innovative growing techniques. The primary objective of the project is to establish and maintain a sustainable alternative method for cultivating plants and raising aquatic organisms on campus. Responsibilities include monitoring water quality maintaining equipment caring for aquatic organisms planting and harvesting crops and assisting with the educational components of the project. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in biology environmental science agriculture or sustainability to gain practical real-world experience while contributing to a cutting-edge project on campus.

Minimum Qualifications
Be a current student of either Environmental Studies or Biologys Ecology Environmental and Conservation major.

Preferred Qualifications
Students with Federal Work Study in Financial Aid Package preferred. Students with Green Dot Certification preferred or willingness to complete certification.
