This position functions as a first-line professional manager of professional positions in a complex work area and isresponsible for the management of the Small Business Compliance Services Section Lansing Business & Workforce
Engagement. Exercises independent judgement in the oversight development and implementation of statewide external
Equal Opportunity Contract Compliance (EOCC); Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Small Business Program
(SBP) the On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program and Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE)
certification process approvals removals denials appeals annual affidavits management reviews and additional work
class requests; Commercially Useful Function (CUF) processing and investigations Field Reports (4109s). Serves as a
member on the Unified Certification Program (UCP) committee. This position is responsible for utilizing the Departments
standard specifications for construction and administrative rules governing the prequalification of contractors and
consultants as well as interpreting all applicable Federal Regulatory Program Requirements while maintaining alignment
with OBDs and Michigan Department of Transportations (MDOTs) overall strategy identified in the business plan.
Maintains positive public relations with all State DBE/ACDBE UCP agencies State and Federal government officials
unions various associations general public and transportation industry contractors.
The Salary listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate through the maximum rate of the Departmental Manager 14 position.

Education
Possession of a bachelors degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
