What you will be doing
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer the Manager Quality Risk and Compliance will play a critical role in ensuring effective operation of governance structures including clinical governance compliance with regulatory contractual and statutory obligations and the proactive management of risk across the organization. The role will work to ensure that PRONIA delivers safe high-quality and compliant services to the community.
In this role you will:
Lead continuous improvement of Quality systems and foster a culture of continuous improvement safety and high performance
Monitor the quality of aged care and clinical governance through a regular cadence of reviews. Engage with specialist clinical governance providers as necessary
Embed policies and processes to ensure compliance with the Strengthened Standards under the Aged Care Act 2024.
In conjunction with external subject matter experts develop and implement PRONIAs clinical governance framework. Align with accreditation cycles and aged care standards.
In conjunction with the GM Clinical Operations & Service Delivery prepare and guide PRONIA through audits accreditations and external inspections
Maintain and review the organisations risk management framework.
Build strong relationships with regulators and key stakeholders
Uphold compliance with legislative and company standards by maintaining all required filings and records.
Develop KPIs to drive compliance with clinical governance policies processes and regulations
Provide regular reporting on quality and risk performance to the executive team and board.
Role Requirements
Degree and/or professional qualification in business quality governance risk or a clinical discipline.
In-depth knowledge of statutory and regulatory compliance requirements in aged care or community services.
Minimum 5 years experience in a quality systems and standards or risk management role (NFP and/or aged care or home care / health environment preferred).
Governance professional qualifications would be well regarded
Strong understanding of the Strengthened Aged Care Standards and contemporary risk management practices.
Demonstrated management and leadership skills with good communication and clear direction in service provision.
Ability to develop policy implement procedures and drive compliance through organisation-wide governance quality and audit management.
Successfully leads cross-functional and whole of organisation improvement and change across Governance Compliance Quality Risk and Audit Management.
Strong analytical skills technical quality risk and compliance expertise superior communication skills and the capacity to think strategically.
Demonstrated ability to translate compliance and governance requirements into effective systems.
Excellent communication reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proven ability to influence organisational culture and continuous improvement.
Committed to following and enforcing business processes.
Detail oriented enthusiastic and proactive.
Mandatory Requirements
Current Drivers Licence
National Criminal History Record Check (current).
Not subject to any Employee Screening or Banning Orders under relevant legislation.
