The Opportunity
Were seeking a Process Engineer to help shape and refine how our advanced systems operate from the test bench to pilot deployment. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives on system-level thinking understands how subsystems interconnect and can translate complex engineering concepts into practical robust solutions. While hands-on testing and assembly work are handled by dedicated team members the Process Engineer ensures that the overall engineering logic flows and integration plans remain coherent and scalable. Youll collaborate closely with design testing and electronics teams to bridge the gap between how systems are conceived and how they perform in the field. Your work will play a crucial role in helping us transition innovative systems from prototype stage into reliable scalable real-world applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine process designs involving gas handling absorption systems and dosing/mixing operations.
- Analyse process performance and provide recommendations to improve efficiency reliability and scalability.
- Translate process requirements into engineering inputs for system layouts equipment selection and control strategies.
- Collaborate across design electronics and testing teams to ensure that process intentions are correctly implemented in physical builds.
- Contribute to documentation of process flows engineering calculations and operational guidelines.
- Support problem-solving during prototype builds and trials offering process insights to help resolve integration challenges.
- Help define best practices and frameworks for future scale-up and system modularisation.
- Maintain a focus on safety regulatory considerations and practical operability.
Required skills/qualifications
- Degree in Chemical Mechanical Process Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience designing or assessing chemical and physical processes preferably in development or pilot environments rather than purely high-volume plant operations.
- Ability to connect process concepts with engineering implementation considering mechanical layouts instrumentation and system controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with comfort working through ambiguity in evolving designs.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactive mindset with interest in contributing beyond narrow technical tasks.
Preferred skills/experience (not essential)
- Familiarity with process modelling tools or simulation software.
- Exposure to gas-phase systems fluid handling or thermal processes.
- Experience supporting the development of modular or skidded systems.
- Interest in future leadership roles with capability to guide technical teams.
- Understanding of engineering documentation practices change management and safety standards.
