Position: Trade processing developer
Contract-1-2 years
Type: Project based decommissioning project
Overview:
We are seeking a talented Developer to join a high-impact trade processing project involving the decommissioning of a legacy back-office technical system and transitioning the functionality to a new system based on Linux. This is a direct contract position for 1-2 years offering an exciting opportunity to work on a critical system decommission project.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development effort for decommissioning and migrating the back-office system.
- Work closely with the project team to transition the system to a Linux-based environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration with upstream and downstream trade processing systems.
- Develop test and optimize code in C language.
- Participate in technical discussions providing insights and solutions to enhance system performance.
- Ensure seamless communication across global teams in English.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in C programming: Extensive experience in developing in C.
- Linux expertise: Strong experience working in a Unix AIX or Linux environment.
- Trade Flow Knowledge: Familiarity with trade processing systems from upstream to downstream ideally within an investment banking context.
- English fluency: Strong command of English with the ability to communicate effectively with international teams.
- Japanese proficiency: Nice to have but not essential.
Day-to-day:
As a Developer for the trade processing system decommission project you will be responsible for leading the development effort collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring seamless communication across global teams. You will work on transitioning the system to a Linux-based environment and optimizing code in C language.
