Role: Intern
Team Overview:The Integrated Consulting Group (ICG) is a partnership between Oliver Wymans Management consulting and Actuarial teams. Interns will engage in a variety of projects for insurers and asset managers combining technical skills with a strategic mindset to create transformative outcomes for clients. Our work covers numerous topics including:
Strategy development
Financial effectiveness
Product design and management
Operational excellence
Underwriting and pricing
Role of an Intern
As an intern you will gain valuable hands-on experience and contribute to various aspects of consulting projects. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Assisting in Project Workstreams:
Supporting the development of hypotheses and assisting with data collection.
Helping with model creation and analyses.
Conducting primary and secondary research to provide insights.
Synthesis of Findings:
Assisting in compiling findings into presentations.
Participating in discussions with clients and stakeholders.
Support for Project Teams:
Collaborating with consultants and partners to ensure high-quality execution of project tasks.
Working Environment:
Desired Skills and Experience
We seek motivated and high-caliber individuals for our internship program. Ideal candidates will possess:
Enrollment in a degree program ideally in actuarial science risk management STEM or a related field with expected graduation in 2027 or 2028.
Have taken or are planning to take actuarial exams or other certifications such as CFA.
Familiarity with insurance-related topics such as risk management or finance is a plus.
Strong analytical mindset and a willingness to engage with complex information.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Interest in strategic problem-solving and analytical work.
Willingness to travel as required.

Compensation and Application Process
Internship Program Compensation: The applicable salary for this role is $1450 per week.
Application Requirements: Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required for U.S. office locations.
