Were looking for a Healthcare Informatics Specialist to join our team! You would be responsible for gathering and analyzing data to disseminate to the team as well as providing reports for grants and UDS measures. Promote the understanding integration and application of healthcare information technology in support of clinician/provider objectives the organizations vision strategic goals and industry best practices. Foster a culture of patient and family centered care service quality and safety excellence while improving patient experience employee experience and community relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key resource regarding Azara DVS maintenance education support training policies and procedures provide ongoing education and support for all upgrades new releases and enhanced functionality.
  • Works with the Clinical Quality Assurance Coordinator to develop clinical projects (PDSA) to improve quality metrics throughout the organization.
  • Devises methods and procedures for collecting and validating data while ensuring accuracy of the data.
  • Utilizes data to drive process workflow and behavior change as it relates to appropriate and efficient use of the electronic medical records (EMR) and other clinical technology.
  • Collaborate with other departments in the development and revision of initiatives and programs related to data collection retrieval analysis and interpretation to assist in optimizing patient outcomes effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Submits data and prepare reports to meet the requirements of HRSA AAAHC UDS and other regulatory/accrediting agencies as directed by the Director of Quality Improvement.
  • Complete grant-writing assignments with appropriate supporting data/information as assigned to support successful applications.
  • Submission and development of final reports to external Quality Improvement (QI) project agencies.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to patient centered care
  • Other duties as assigned

Education: Bachelors degree with informatics emphasis RN MA or allied health degree/certificate with at least two years of experience in appropriate field (public health quality assurance/quality improvement health administration or other health related field).

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2 years Quality Improvement experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects from start to finish.
  • High degree of accuracy ability to prioritize work and manage time
  • Maintains a professional relationship and positive attitude when communicating with staff at all levels
  • Ability to teach others and maintain a positive attitude
  • Ability to interpret data to improve patient experience
  • Ability to develop computerized presentations
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate level use of Microsoft Office Word Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of the Patient Centered Medical Home model quality improvement principles and methodology
