Job Description
The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands phosphate mining fertilizer manufacturing farming ranching and cattle production and other enterprises related to agriculture.
Summary
The NPI (New Product Introduction) Program Manager oversees the coordination and advancement of all stage and gate projects ensuring timely progress and delivery. This role collaborates closely with project leads and cross-functional teams to drive successful execution within established frameworks while also managing a team of project managers to support strategic initiatives across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple complex projects across a diverse portfolio including new product launches and process improvementsoften in fast-paced global environments.
- Manage and mentor a team of project managers providing guidance support and performance oversight to ensure consistent project execution and professional development.
- Coordinate efforts across multiple departments to ensure alignment and progress.
- Manage a portfolio of projects concurrently supporting several project leaders.
- Partner with project leads to define scope plan timelines and track milestones.
- Identify and allocate key resources providing strategic direction to meet objectives.
- Ensure consistent engagement from management customers and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and motivational skills backed by a solid technical foundation.
- Proactively identify and address potential risks or obstacles making informed decisions to maintain project momentum.
Typical Education
- Bachelors Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
Relevant Experience
- 5 years of experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) projects across various industries preferably within the food sector with a strong background in cross-functional collaboration and project lifecycle management.
Required Certifications
- PMP preferred but not required
- #LI-JP1
