Job Description

Job Description: The Secondary Art Teacher is responsible for teaching multiple levels of coursework in visual arts and design in both two and three dimensions in a dynamic and engaging learning environment where all students can achieve academic success. The teacher will implement effective lesson plans manage the classroom and assess student progress. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues parents and the school community to support the holistic development of To: High School PrincipalLocation: WarrenWork Schedule: Full-TimeResponsibilities:Instructional Planning and Delivery:Implement lessons that align with National Core Arts the Rhode Island Department of Education Arts Curriculum Framework in curriculum design instructional planning and assessment development. Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs and learning technology and other resources to enhance instruction and student and Evaluation:Conduct formative and summative assessments to monitor student learning and assessment data to inform instruction and provide feedback to students and accurate records of student performance and communicate progress Management:Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and and enforce clear rules and procedures for behavior and classroom effective classroom management strategies to minimize disruptions and maximize learning and Communication:Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and implement grade-level interdisciplinary or department-specific units and/or school-wide in professional learning communities and ongoing professional effectively with parents and guardians to support student learning and Support and Engagement:Provide individualized support and differentiation to meet the needs of all students including those with special needs and English language student participation and foster a growth social-emotional learning and positive relationships among Responsibilities:Adhere to school policies procedures and ethical in school events parent-teacher conferences and other activities outside regular school hours as seek and engage in opportunities for professional growth and :Bachelors degree in Education or related RI teaching certification for the appropriate grade level and subject in the Science of Reading and Structured knowledge of subject matter and state curriculum classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning communication and interpersonal in using technology for instruction and to continuous professional development and lifelong to educational equity and experience working with diverse student populations particularly students of color multilingual learners and students with diverse learning to also teach performing arts preferred.
