JOB SUMMARY: Sizer School a North Central Charter Essential School is seeking a driven dynamic and experienced educator to be a part of an instructional team in our school. Ideally this candidate will bring a passion for supporting and implementing best instructional practices wrap around student support services a love for all students in grades 9-12 a commitment to further promote an already existing positive collaborative environment and build and strengthen external partnerships. Only those candidates with a deep passion for the Sizer School mission and ready to teach in and be a part of an exemplary innovative public middle/high school need RESPONSIBILITIES*Promotes the learning and growth of all students by providing high-quality and coherent instruction*Designs units of instruction with measurable outcomes and challenging tasks *Demonstrates instructional practices that establish high expectations create a safe and effective classroom environment and demonstrate cultural proficiency.*Adapts instruction materials and assessments to make challenging material accessible to all students including English learners and students with disabilities*Promotes the learning and growth of all students through effective partnerships *Acts as an advisor to a group of students and works to shape curriculum and practice to support the whole-child*Reflects on the effectiveness of lessons units and interactions with students both individually and with colleagues and uses insights gained to improve practice and student learning.*Participates in school-wide and subject specific professional development and grade level team times*Promotes the learning and growth of all students through ethical culturally proficient skilled and collaborative SCHOOLSizer School is located in Fitchburg MA draws from cities and towns in North Central Massachusetts and is chartered to serve 400 students in grades 7-12.
