Blue Diamond Growers is looking for a creative ambitious Social Media Content Intern to help amplify our foodservice innovation: Blue Diamond Barista Blend Almondmilk the premium non-dairy milk thats winning over coffee professionals nationwide. If youre passionate about social media love great coffee and want to tell the story of a 100 year farming legacy meeting modern coffee culture this is your chance to make an impact from day one.This is a part-time internship based out of Sacramento CA for 3 months with the potential to extend up to 6 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
What Youll Do: Content Creation & Strategy
- Create engaging Instagram content for Blue Diamond Barista Blend including videos static posts carousels and Stories
- Develop multi-platform content for Blue Diamond Almonds and Almond Breeze across TikTok Facebook X LinkedIn and other channels
- Tell the compelling farm to cup story connecting California almond growers (Shakers) with coffee creators (Baristas)
- Experiment with trending formats Instagram features and viral content techniques
- Tailor content approach based on platform-specific best practices and audience behaviors
Analytics & Optimization
- Analyze Instagram performance for Blue Diamond Barista Blend and multi-platform metrics for other brands
- Track content performance and identify what resonates with coffee professionals and specialty coffee communities
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve content strategy and increase engagement across all platforms
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends in the rapidly growing plant-based foodservice market
- Help measure brand awareness in the specialty coffee and foodservice sectors
Brand Development
- Help amplify Blue Diamond Barista Blends unique positioning as the professionals choice for frothing steaming and blending
- Showcase our farmer-owned cooperative heritage and 100 year legacy of almond innovation
- Collaborate with our Sacramento-based team to ensure brand consistency across all content
- Create content that connects our 3000 California almond farmers with coffee professionals nationwide
- Stay current on foodservice trends barista communities and specialty coffee industry developments
What Were Looking For: Education & Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing Communications Business or related field
- Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms and content creation
- Portfolio of personal or professional social media work (even class projects count!)
Skills & Qualities
- Creative storytelling ability with an eye for visual content and brand heritage
- Strong understanding of Instagram best practices (Reels Stories IGTV post optimization)
- Knowledge of multi-platform social media strategies (TikTok Facebook X LinkedIn)
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret social media metrics
- Interest in B2B marketing and foodservice industry dynamics
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
- Passion for coffee culture agriculture and/or food & beverage brands is a plus
- Barista or coffee industry experience preferred but not required
- Appreciation for authentic brand stories and farmer/artisan narratives
