The Youth and Young Adults Empowerment Leadership and Learning (YELL) Lab located in the Department of Occupational Therapy College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida is looking for individuals with strong organizational and interpersonal skills to join our multidisciplinary and diverse team. This position provides opportunities for professional growth and skill development (training and support is provided) while making a meaningful contribution to produce evidence that empowers and is relevant to the everyday lives of individuals with (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) IDD.
The YELL Lab develops theory-driven assessments and interventions/curriculum that empower youth and young adults with developmental disabilities to participate in education work independent living and their community. Directed by Dr. Jessica Kramer our lab includes PhD and doctoral students paid community researchers with disabilities and undergraduate honors students. We engage in close collaboration with research teams from across the country including Temple University and The Institute on Disability at the University of New Hampshire and The National Center for Cultural Competence at Georgetown University. Our research is funded by NIH NIDILRR and PCORI.
This position will primarily be responsible for the daily management of multiple research projects including:
Other duties as required with opportunities to expand responsibilities and tasks given individual strengths and interests. This could include product/intervention design training and supervisory responsibilities grant writing manuscript authorship and data analyses.
$20 - $30 hourly; commensurate based on qualifications and experience.

This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week with the potential to expand to full-time depending on the individuals qualifications skills and ability to assume additional responsibilities. Hours may be flexible within the week but are expected to happen between normal business hours of M-F 8am-5pm. Some work responsibilities such as data collection may require occasional work hours outside of standard business hours.
