Job Summary:
The Associate Director Global IT Shared Services is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the companys global infrastructure which includes networks servers cloud environments and user devices. This role provides strategic leadership to support operational standards security and scalability across multiple locations. The position collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to validate the architecture of new initiatives ensuring alignment with corporate standards and security protocols.
A key responsibility is to maintain and adapt the IT infrastructure within manufacturing environments.
Candidates should possess a background in IT infrastructure within multinational organizations demonstrate leadership abilities effective problem-solving skills and experience working in fast-paced settings while coordinating internal (6 direct reports) and external technicians.
As part of the Global IT leadership team this role participates in the development and implementation of enterprise-wide IT strategies and is accountable for delivering business value.
Occasional work outside standard business hours or during weekends may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the companys IT infrastructure ensuring reliability performance and security.
- Network & Server Administration: Oversee management of On-Premises and cloud-based servers network configurations and security protocols
- Cloud Operations: Lead cloud migration strategies optimize cloud performance and ensure cost-efficient cloud utilization.
- Device Management: Oversee deployment maintenance and security policies for user devices across different regions.
- Team Leadership: Manage a diverse team of 6 IT technicians in North America and Europe ensuring collaboration performance and skill development.
- Strategic IT Planning: Develop infrastructure strategies that align with business goals and support future growth and manage infrastructure projects for the commissioning and roll-out of new tools or services.
- Security & Compliance: Coordinate with Cyber Security leader to ensure compliance with industry regulations and security best practices in all IT operations.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers ensuring service quality and cost-effectiveness
- Incident Management & Support: Supervise troubleshooting and incident resolution minimizing downtime and disruptions.
- Works closely together with the IT leadership team on the design and management of a comprehensive and integrated ITSM landscape based on best-practice processes disciplines and related toolsets.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or a related field (Masters preferred).
- 5 years of experience in similar role IT infrastructure management in a multinational environment.
- 12 years of experience in IT infrastructure in different roles and responsibilities
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS) network administration and server management.
- Experience in VMware environments
- Experience in Industrial and OT environments
- Proven leadership experience in managing distributed IT teams.
- Excellent problem-solving communication and project management skills.

- Having some of the next certifications is highly appreciated:
- Technical: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional CompTIA Server VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Management and processes: ITIL Foundation Certification Project Management Professional (PMP)
