AFP Management Corpis currently seeking a hospitality HR professional to fill a new role of Regional Human Resources Manager. This role will support and work with the RVPs and Corporate Team to assist and help create positive workplaces that enable our associates to deliver strong guest experiences and maximize ownership returns.This position could be a perfect opportunity to advance your career with a growing and exciting management company!Applicant must have prior Multiple Hotel Human Resources Oversight of 3-5 years and prior Union Experience preferably in the Orlando New York Chicago or San Franciso Markets.

Position will have a base office at one of our properties and will require 90% travel within each Region and to our Corporate Offices.

Current Property locations include Florida Illinois Indiana Ohio New Jersey New York and Connecticut. Position can be based out of our hotels in one of the following locations : Orlando Miami Albany Long Branch or our Corporate Office in Great Neck NY.

The Regional Human Resources Manager will be responsible for the execution and administration of the functional areas of human resources such as employee relations recruitment and development at the assigned portfolio of hotels. This position will partner with each property General Manager and the Director of Human Resources to deliver top notch service along with compliance within the Human Resources Departments. This role will report directly to the Regional Vice Presidents of Hotel Operations in each region.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in complex employee relations issues.
  • Assists in maintaining effective employee communication channels in the property.
  • Reviews progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency checks for supportive documentation and is accountable for determining appropriate action.
  • Facilitates wage and hour compliance within timecards record keeping and payroll.
  • Reviews terminations requests in the employee database.
  • Assists with responding to questions concerning company benefits.
  • Communicates and educates employee benefits in a timely accurate manner.
  • Support employee recognition programs.
  • Partners with Property Leader on activities safety training and employee appreciation events.
  • Maintains Company Culture programs with the property leadership team.
  • Assists in onboarding newly acquired properties.
  • Works hand in hand with the Regional Vice President of Hotel Operations to deliver company alignment within the Human Resources Platform and Company Policies are adhered to.
  • Oversees the hotel recruitment process with our Partners.
  • Manages the onboarding process for newly hired property leadership with our Regional Vice Presidents of Hotel Operations.
  • Positions the hotel as a preferred employer with engagement in social media and marketing efforts.
  • Provides direction and training to department managers in the hiring and recruitment process.
  • Ensure recruitment and hiring documentation and practices are in compliance with all local state and federal employment laws.
  • Ensures coordination and facilitation of new hire orientation program brand mandated other compliance trainings and tracking to successfully perform their job in conjunction with department manager.
  • Provide performance management guidance to property management team(coaching counseling career development disciplinary actions).
  • Assists with the property performance evaluation process.
  • Assists in identifying and readying Associates for succession planning.
  • Ensures property managers are well-trained.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree (B. A.) from a four year college or university or equivalent education/experience.
  • Recommended experience is three to fiveyears of employment in a related position with this company or other organization
  • SHERM Certification Required
  • Bi-lingual highly preferred English and Spanish.
  • Management Experience within Hospitality field
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Prior Union Property Experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other associates.
  • Prior Experience with the following Hotel Systems
    • ADP
    • Hireology
    • E-Verify
    • H Careers Platform
