Duration of the Contract: 6/30/2026 with potential for extension
Onsite or Remote: Candidates must be CURRENT WI residents. No relocation is allowed. DWD is currently allowing remote work from within the state of Wisconsin. The contractor must be available online be present to meet all workload requirements and must attend all scheduled meetings during DWD standard working hours of 7.45 am 4.30 pm Central Time. DWD can make changes or modifications to this arrangement with a reasonable advance notice.
NOTE: DWD prefers that the selected hire resides in the greater Madison area. The contractor must be available to work onsite in DWD Madison WI headquarters GEF-1 location at DWDs request including consecutive weekdays or extended periods without reimbursement for travel lodging or parking expenses.
Project details: These 2 needs are part of the new modernization project at DWD. The PMs will be leading the staff in the development maintenance and support of critical applications for the division of Unemployment Insurance.

Brief Project Description:
This is a position needed as a project manager to lead staff in the development maintenance and
support of critical priority applications supported by BITS-UI for division of Unemployment Insurance.
Candidates will play an integral role on self directed work teams in support of high priority development
projects. Project work will include application architecture design and development integration with 3rd
party software data conversion new development and modifications to existing code. Successful
candidates will have demonstrated success in leading projects which include designing creating and
maintaining web services system integration web development.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with familiarity of State of Wisconsin application systems procedures and development standards and agile scrum development methodology.
DWD is currently allowing remote work from home.
